Before you begin removing moss from your pavers, make sure you have the following tools:
Protect your hands by wearing garden gloves throughout the process.
Using a stiff-bristle brush, gently scrub the surface of the pavers to remove any loose moss. Be careful not to damage the pavers while doing this.
If you have a moss killer, follow the instructions on the packaging and apply it to the affected areas. Alternatively, you can create a mixture of vinegar and water in a 1:1 ratio and spray it on the moss. Let it sit for about 15 minutes to kill the moss.
After the moss killer has had time to work, use the stiff-bristle brush to scrub the pavers again. This will help remove any remaining moss and ensure a thorough cleaning.
Using a water hose or pressure washer, rinse off the pavers to remove any residue from the moss killer or vinegar mixture. Make sure to wash away all traces of moss and cleaning solution.
If there are still areas with stubborn moss, repeat steps 4 to 6 until all moss is removed. Some cases may require multiple treatments.
To prevent moss from growing back, consider applying a moss inhibitor or sealant to the pavers. Regularly sweeping or brushing the pavers can also help prevent moss from taking hold.
By following these steps, you can effectively remove moss from your pavers and keep them looking clean and moss-free.
